I couldn't find any quicker route despite the URs etc.. But this was a really nice puzzle as each step unlocked the next one with very few basics between them....

w-wing(18) (1=8)r3c8-r9c8=r9c7-(8=1)r6c7; r5c8<>1

x-wing(1) r39c58; r3c39<>1, r9c167<>1

multi-colour wrap(1); r1c9|r2c1|r3c5|r6c7|r9c8<>1 |

Per discussion on other puzzle, I saw this initially as a Kraken x-wing as the fin forces a 1 in the bottom row of the wing.. But you still need the w-wing... |

				| Agreed - I looked at ANPs and looked at the 8s using AICs etc - can't do better than 4 steps. A good puzzle - v. enjoyable. |

For me it was a (BBDB)²

But I enjoyed it, and despite my 10 moves, I was happy to finish it without trial and error. |
