				x-wing on 2

Er on 3

ER on 2

Type 4 UR (58)

x wing on 9

then I gave up and used the Off F method (off the forum)

finished after the 578 xy-wing hint

For me, xy-wings are harder to spot than all the other "pattern" methods |

When an XY-Wing is needed early in a solution, then it's often easier to find because there are fewer bivalue cells to sift through. When an XY-Wing is needed late in a solution, then it's often a nightmare to sift through all of the possible combinations.

Unfortunately for you, my puzzle generator skews its output to where Singles occur first and other techniques occur near the end. Once I get around to writing a new puzzle generator, this (hopefully) won't be the case. |

				| This one drove me nuts. I used a half-dozen different techniques before I had to use my Medusa crutch. |
