Thanks for the puzzle Immp! I enjoyed that.

After basics:
Code:
+---------------+--------------+-------------+
| 256 569  8    | 29  34  1    | 256 34  7   |
| 3   679  4    | 279 5   69   | 26  1   8   |
| 256 1    57   | 237 8   46   | 256 34  9   |
+---------------+--------------+-------------+
| 8   2    9    | 4   6   3    | 1   7   5   |
| 7   3    1    | 5   9   2    | 4   8   6   |
| 45  45   6    | 8   1   7    | 3   9   2   |
+---------------+--------------+-------------+
| 456 4568 35   | 39  2   4589 | 7   56  1   |
| 9   4567 257  | 1   47  45   | 8   256 3   |
| 1   578  2357 | 6   37  58   | 9   25  4   |
+---------------+--------------+-------------+

And then I used the following chain: 3r3c4=r1c5-(3=7*)r9c5-(7=4)r8c5-(4=5)r8c6-(5=8)r9c6-(7*8=5)r9c2-(5=3)r7c3 => r7c4 <> 3; stte.

Thanks Immp.

I got to the same result as dongrave but used a different route.

(3=5)r7c3-(5=6)r7c8-(56=4)r7c1-(456=8)r7c2-(58=7)r9c2-(7=3)r9c5-(3)r7c4

When you plug a 3 into r7c3 then obviously=> r7c4 < > 3.
However, plug a 5 into r7c3 and also r7c4 < > 3.

Having 5 in r7c3 also means no 3's in row 7 when using the above chain so we know that r7c3 can not be 5.

(forgive me if I have not used the asterisk marker system!)

Opted for two steps
Code:

+-----------------------+----------------------+-------------------+
| 256     569      8    |b29       34     1    | 256     34      7 |
| 3      c679      4    |b279      5      69   | 26      1       8 |
| 256     1       d7-5  | 237      8      46   | 256     34      9 |
+-----------------------+----------------------+-------------------+
| 8       2        9    | 4        6      3    | 1       7       5 |
| 7       3        1    | 5        9      2    | 4       8       6 |
| 45      45       6    | 8        1      7    | 3       9       2 |
+-----------------------+----------------------+-------------------+
| 456     4568    a35   |b39       2      4589 | 7       56      1 |
| 9       4567     257  | 1        47     45   | 8       256     3 |
| 1       578      2357 | 6        37     58   | 9       25      4 |
+-----------------------+----------------------+-------------------+

Step 1: (5=3)r7c3 – (3=927)r712c4 – (7)r2c2 = (7)r3c3 => - 5r3c3
Code:

+-----------------------+----------------------+--------------------+
| 256      569      8   | 29      34      1    | 56      34       7 |
| 3       c69       4   | 7       5      b69   | 2       1        8 |
| 256      1        7   | 23      8      a46   | 56      34       9 |
+-----------------------+----------------------+--------------------+
| 8        2        9   | 4       6       3    | 1       7        5 |
| 7        3        1   | 5       9       2    | 4       8        6 |
| 45       45       6   | 8       1       7    | 3       9        2 |
+-----------------------+----------------------+--------------------+
| 456      468      35  | 39      2       4589 | 7       56       1 |
| 9       d467      25  | 1      d47      5-4  | 8       256      3 |
| 1        78       235 | 6       37      58   | 9       25       4 |
+-----------------------+----------------------+--------------------+

Step 2: (4=6)r3c6 – (6=9)r2c6 – (9=6)r2c2 – (6=7|4)r8c25 => - 4r8c6; stte

I used an xy-wing to eliminate 2s from r2c4, r1c7

Then an xy-chain anchored at r3c3 & r2c4 to eliminate 7 at r3c4
